Cute Outfit of the Day: Bridesmaid Dress Recycled

H&M jacket: Plato's Closet $11
lace dress: Target $25
Steve Madden necklace: Nordstrom Rack $15
Target tights: thrift $2
 Steve Madden booties: eBay $20
Total Cost: $73

Wow! I think this might be my most expensive outfit ever! The only thing from the thrift store is the tights! That is very unusual for me! I bought this dress to wear when I was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding so when you consider that and the fact that I've worn it several times since the wedding that makes that total cost not seem so bad!

This is what I wore to my sister-in-law Savannah's baby shower. Dressing for winter baby showers and weddings is kind of tricky.Normally, I would just throw on a pretty dress but it's way too cold for that right now! So for this outfit, I started with the girly dress but I wanted to keep my signature edge so I added this moto jacket and booties. The lace dress makes it perfect for a baby shower while the tougher black pieces create balance and makes it "me"!

  2. What a great re-use of the bridesmaid dress! That is why I let my bridesmaids pick out their own dresses in one color--so they could wear them again instead of donating them or cutting them all up! I love this color blue on you!

  3. I love lace!!!! Always have. I'm so happy it's being brought into the daylight for casual wear. I have a dark green dress I added a chain and leather belt, boots for work. Also, a cardigan or jacket with tights for a warmer day. LOVE lace and denim!!!! Well, a gal can't go wrong with lace. I'm looking for a ivory lace skirt...so, if you find one...er...maybe I could sew up grandma's tablecloth....Anyhoo, You look fabulous!
