A Freak Accident

Hey readers and bloggers. I have a sad topic today. I'm sure you're probably heard by now about our fellow fashion blogger Lauren Scruggs' freak accident this past weekend. Lauren was on a small plane enjoying the view of Christmas lights from above. When she exited the plane she went toward the front of the plane most likely to say thank you to the pilot when she walked right into the spinning propeller of the plane. It was dark out and the propeller was spinning so fast it wasn't visible. Her hand has been amputated and her left eye is still in question. Lauren is in for a very long recovery but praise the Lord she is still with us! Lauren and her family have a strong belief in Jesus Christ which I believe will be of great help to them during this difficult time.

I immediately felt drawn to this story when I saw it on the Today show. I don't know if it's the fact that she is a fellow fashion blogger or just because of the freak nature of her accident. Never the less, I just felt compelled to share this with you all and ask that you join her family and friends in praying for Lauren.

If you would like to follow her progress or donate money to help her family with medical bills, a website has been created at:

I am looking forward to Lauren's recovery and her return to blogging at LOLO Inspiration Out Loud

Thanks Everyone!

  3. It has been all over our news Lindsey. It is really sad but her parents seem optimistic and their faith in God will draw them nearer to Him. Thank you for putting this out there...very thoughtful of you. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo

  6. According to recent statistics, it has been determined that over 400,000 personal injuries are reported each year in the United States. Most of these result in legal proceedings and lawsuits against the parties who cause these injuries to their victims. Although this statistic covers the entire country, California is one of the states where most personal injuries are reported.
