Cute Outfit of the Day: A Perfect Fall Dress

 Forever 21 dress: thrift $7
belt: thrift $2
shoes: Aldo (gift) $0
necklace: thrift $4
Total Cost: $13

week: 26 (picture taken week 25)

I love this lace dress I thrifted a few weeks ago because it is surprisingly versatile! As I was styling it for this shoot, I thought of so many ways to accessorize it, I had a hard time choosing! For today's look I knew I wanted to balance the femininity of the lace and ruffled sleeve with a more rugged shoe. That's when my hubby came home and I always like to bounce ideas off of him because he has a great aesthetic eye. I told him my idea and asked what shoes he thought I should go with and he, not surprisingly, picked these Aldo boots. They are his favorite! I thought about a scarf but eventually went with this vintage necklace because it added a pop of color and was bold enough to stand out on top of the lace.

It's been a rough week. If you follow me on social media you know that I lost my step grandpa Charlie last week to a heart attack. He married my grandma (who just passed in June) almost 30 years ago when I was young and he was the only grandpa I ever had. He was such a fun guy! Always telling jokes! The jokes were not always clean but that just made them even more funny! His perfectionist nature was not always easy to live up to but no matter what we all knew he loved us and just wanted the best for everyone! He and my grandma had a great life together riding their Honda Gold Wing all over the US and spending winters down in Lake Wales, Florida. We had so many great times together starting with the first time I ever met him when he gave me beer and told me it was apple juice and I spit it out because it was so gross! He was one of a kind and I will miss him a lot! I can't believe they are both gone now. I miss them so much already!
