Cute Outfit of the Day: Colorful Leopard

Giambattista Valli for Macy's dress: thrift $6
necklace: gift $0
shoes: thrift $4
clutch: thrift $2
Total Cost: $12

Animal prints have been a staple in our wardrobes for years! If you want to take that trend to the next level try a colorful leopard print! These non-traditional leo prints have been spotted (pun intended) all over the Fall 2013 runways!

HOW TO WEAR IT:
I think this particular dress works really well because it is a classic, more conservative silhouette. I would not advise anyone to wear these prints in a overly revealing way! For those of you that think this trend is only for the very fashion forward let me encourage you to try it in a small dose- shoes, a handbag, or even a skirt. Just like regular leopard print, stick to one piece at a time!

CONFESSION TIME:
I love this dress but it actually doesn't fit me! I have it all pinned in the back. I could get it altered but I have so many other pretty dresses- I think I'll let someone else enjoy it!

  1. That necklace is perfect for it. It's too bad it doesn't fit, but it is adorable.

  2. the shape of that dress is SO lovely- i love those structured cap sleeves. and that's too bad it doesn't fit! i have a few dresses like that that i still really love, so i just leave them a bit unzipped in the back and throw a vest over them. haha crafty ;)

PS I found you through the Pleated Poppy linkup!
