So I know I've been showing a lot of dress lately but it's been like 100 degrees all week so that's all I can stand to wear! I got this dress when I did the grand opening for the Volunteers of America on Henderson Rd. (read about that here and here). I love all the bright colors in this otherwise neutral dress! I am also wearing my favorite belt. It's a very broken in brown leather belt and I wear it with almost everything! It looks great with not only casual dresses but even with dressy ones too!
floral dress: Volunteers of America $1.99
leather belt: Goodwill $1.99
straw purse: Goodwill $1.99
feather earrings: Forever 21 $ 5.99
braided sandals: Old Navy from like 10 years ago- no joke!
Total Cost: $11.96
Pin It
NICE!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute dress. Lady-like and very sweet, especially with that handbag. I'm doing a lot of dresses myself lately, more than normal actually. Blame it on the heat. :)
ReplyDeletelooking forward to reading more.

Love your blog. I'm an avid Columbus thrifter. I was at the Polaris Goodwill and was a bit bothered by the prices on obviously fake Prada, Coach, Gucci etc. Have you noticed that at that particular location? It's a very nice store. VOA at Henderson seems to be priced better in terms of name brands. Or perhaps it's because they discount. I was told that Goodwill does not.
ReplyDeleteI agree Laura! It really bothers me when stores sell fake designer items for real designer prices! It should be illegal! I see it all the time! The VOA on Henderson is my new favorite! I love that store! VOA and Salvation Army both have different discount days and colored tags where as Goodwill doesn't but I've noticed the store on Morse Rd. has random sales almost all the time now!
ReplyDeleteI'm with ya--the VOA on Henderson is my new favorite, too. I have gotten darling dresses for my daughter there. I had to smile at the Goodwill at Polaris yesterday--I asked about any particular sales going on. The lady said "We don't do that here." as if it was something distasteful and low rent. It's a thrift store, people.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh that is such a cute dress!! and i like it with the belt!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute and casual!
ReplyDeleteNow that is cheap chic!
