Volunteers of America Finds: A Colorful Lot

I payed a visit to our local Volunteers of America last week. It had been a while since I'd been there so I was excited about what I might find!

This first item is definitely my favorite:

Color blocked bandage dress. I was excited about this find because color blocking is very trendy right now! $1.99

Embellished red top. I love the clear plastic rectangles the adorn the upper section of the top. It has such a fun mod feel to it. It would look adorable with black cigarette pant and heels. $.99

Royal blue gauze skirt. I thought this would be cute with a simple white tank and some cute jewelry for a relaxed summer day. $1.99

This was the wild card item. I'm not totally sure about it but I thought it had potential. I like the detail on the front and the cute little belt but I'm not crazy about the color. Hmm... maybe I'll dye it? $.99

I got these mugs for my brother. Hear that Dan? These are for you when you get home from Barcelona! They had a whole rack of these mugs so I had to get a couple for him because he actually graduated from Ohio State in 2010! Miss you buddy! $1.99 each

  1. Great finds! That last blouse is actually my absolute favorite - especially the color! It has a great fitted vintage look.

  2. Can't believe we missed this post (and blog) until now - you definitely have an impressive eye for quality and stylish items. We're so glad to hear you enjoy our stores. Did you know our newest location is opening in early May? On the corner of Reed and Henderson near UA.

  4. You do have a very good taste in fashion, and I think it'll be perfect if you and my girlfriend would have the chance to meet up sometime. By the way, I just wanted to share this to you: my girlfriend usually use a brass rod as a stand for the clothes to be displayed in her boutique; you might want to try using it too sometime.
