Thrifty Tip of the Day: Blush or Bronzer or Both?

Do you ever wonder if you should wear blush or bronzer or both? Or do you just avoid them all together because you are not sure how and where to apply them? Don't worry, you are not alone! This is a really common question I get from my clients.

The answer is both! They are actually used for different reasons so both can be worn at the same time. Blush should be applied on the apples of the cheeks to bring color to your face. To apply use a medium sized brush with a domed or angled tip. Bronzer, on the other hand, should be applied to the E3 zone and is used to contour and bring definition to the face. The E3 zone of the face refers to the sections on the right and left sides of the upper forehead, cheeks, and jawline. Visualize a large E hiting all 3 of those areas on the left side of your face and a large 3 on the right side of your face. To apply use a large, wide, and fluffy brush.

It also depends on the time of the year. A sparkly bronzer is great for the warmer months whereas a more matte bronzer can be used to lightly contour even in the colder months. Mature skin types should always stick to a more matte bronzer. Blush can also be worn alone in the colder months.

Lastly, always remember to apply blush and bronzer with a light hand and blend, blend, blend! You can always apply more if you need to! Pin It
