Cute Outfit of the Day: Surf Country




 
gingham shirt: thrift $4
Banana Republic neoprene skirt: thrift  $4
vintage clutch: thrift $2
bracelet: thrift $4
vintage heels: thrift $4
Total Cost: $18

As promised, here is my outfit combining gingham and neoprene! I'm officially calling this combo Surf Country. How cool is this skirt?! I can tell from the tag that it is pretty old Banana Republic. How perfect to find it now that neoprene is having a major runway moment! I'm sad though because the skirt is actually too big for me- I just have it pinned on for the pictures. I'm trying to decide if I should just sell it or if I should try to take it in. I've never worked with neoprene fabric though which makes me a little nervous.

Still in love with these heels too! I don't think I've taken them off since I got them! They go with everything!

    Neoprene seems like it might be tricky to work with, but that skirt is so fantastic that it might be worth a try!

    If you are unsure just take it to a tailor. That's the beauty of thrift, whe you spend so little on your clothes you can spend a bit more on making them perfect.
