Oh, look who wants to be a fashion blogger like his mom! My cat Fudge sneaked out of the house, bombed my photo, then went back in the house! He's so funny!
Gap denim jacket: Goodwill $4
striped top: Goodwill $4
lace skirt: Goodwill $4
shoes: Goodwill $4
clutch: Goodwill $2
necklace: Macy's (gift card) $0
Total Cost $18
Just had another exciting weekend!
On Sunday I held a clothing sale at my house and invited some friends to come over and shop! I had 5 rolling racks with dresses, jackets, and tops. Then I had our sectional sofa covered in pants, skirts, and sweaters. I had about 20 people come out and we just had a great time! It has always been my dream to have my own re-sale clothing store just like my Grandma did so this felt like I was living my dream! I'm definitely planning on doing it again!

Hi Lindsay, Love your outfit! You have such gorgeous style. The skirt is just too gorgeous - I love lace skirts. Love your photo bomber - our German shepherd loves to come and sit right in front on me when we take photos in the afternoon - then we find ourselves trying to move her out of the way - doesn't always work.
ReplyDeleteHave a stunning week.
Wendy
I just couldn't believe my eyes.. that gorgeous skirt is $4.00!!?? Wow! Great find!

Yay Lindsey! I love the idea of a sale at home. So happy that you're living your dream!!
ReplyDeleteI have also dreamed of having a furniture re-sale store where I pick out pieces, fix them up and sell them ... I live in LA and there are a lot of pop-up shops where a company rents an empty store for a month to sell their items. These pop up stores do really well here. Also there is a great vintage store near Downtown LA called Shareen and it's basically a pretty raw warehouse space with no dressing rooms. People just try on clothes in the open as no men are allowed. The center of the space has a living room vibe. Mybe you should move to LA and we could open a clothing / furniture re-sale store ;-) www.not-going-out-like-that.com
ReplyDeleteGreat combos ... looking so young and fresh. Lace and denim sets up your bright stripes as two classics looking for a third! Styling in threes!
ReplyDeleteNice, love how you put that together. I thought about you last week as I was doing a little thrifting @ GW Boutique. Good luck on the "thrift-sale store"!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute outfit. You look great!
ReplyDeleteFound you through the collective. I love your style. What about offering items you no longer use on this blog? I would LOVE to buy this striped top. I have been following you for a few weeks and you come up with so many great ideas. Very original and chic.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that striped top with the lace skirt. So darling! And congrats on your "store"...so fun!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute as usual! I need to have a Goodwill hoarding sale myself!! That is the problem with being a thrift blogger!!
ReplyDeleteThis is somewhat how my living room looks. Oh what I wouldn't do for a basement or even a garage. Where did you purchase your wardrobe racks. I found one at TJMaxx a while ago but I haven't had any luck since.

I got some at Target for $20 and some from IKEA for $15. The IKEA ones are better though!
