Our new Karlstad sectional couch from IKEA arrived yesterday! We just ordered it on Monday and it came less than 48 hrs later! Amazing! I have assembled smaller items from IKEA- bookcases, chairs, etc. but a huge sectional was pretty crazy! We were pretty intimidated by all the pieces but it came together rather smoothly! Check out our controlled chaos:

And the pillows we already had look so good on it!
So this is your Thrifty Tip of the day: If you assemble your own couch you save big bucks! And it will fit down your narrow basement staircase! I love it so much! It's super comfortable! Merry Christmas to us!
More on the whole room later- we still have a lot of work to do on the rest of the room!
