Beauty Secrets: Chiseled Cheekbones

As some of you who have read my bio know, I am a licensed Esthetician and Makeup artist. I have been practicing Esthetics for the past 8 years now and feel like I've learned a lot along the way. I haven't done a post on beauty in a while but I want to write on this topic more often. And of course all of my makeup and beauty tips are always thrifty just like my shopping! Hope you enjoy and learn something from these posts!

Today's beauty secret is about cheekbone contouring. I think woman's cheekbone's are one of the most beautiful features on her face. That's why I like to accentuate this feature and make them really stand out! I like to use bronzer to do this but you can use blush or even a darker foundation. Just place the bronzer in the hollow of the cheek. This is the deepest most sunken in part just under the cheekbone.

You can see it on me pretty well in these pictures:

I use Sonia Kashuk Loose Powder Bronzer from Target:

Do you contour you face with makeup?

  1. Every time I use bronzer I feel like it just looks like I have dirt on my face. Plus all that shimmery stuff - I want as little as possible migrating into those fine lines and reflecting light!

  3. Hey Lindsey! I always try to contour, but it turns out to look like I have a tanned face. Maybe with practice I'll get better. By the way, I just went thrifting, and I'm so excited I must share that with you! Here you can check out my amazing finds: www.skinnymoonstick.blogspot.com

  5. I should start using this trick more. I was using bronzer to contour my cheekbones for a while there, and then recently kind of forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder! it really works on you! Looks great.
