A Very Thrifty Christmas: Sequins and Cream

dress: thrift $5
BCBG cardigan: thrift $4
earrings: Forever 21 $5
vintage boots: thrift $6
Total Cost: $20

week: 34

Another holiday look for you today! I love the classic simplicity of this dress! I wore it years ago to a work Christmas Party and I love it as much as I did back then. The empire waist and the stretchy material make it work great with the bump!

Pregnancy Update:
Only 6 weeks till we meet our little guy! We are so excited! Had a doctors appt. yesterday and everything checked out perfectly! My right foot, ankle, and lower leg are really swollen. My doctor actually said the swelling was pretty impressive! That's me- the overachiever! It's only on the right side so you can compare it to the left side and see just how bad it really is! Don't worry it's not a blood clog though-  just normal swelling. I guess it's not always even. Other than that just having a ton of round ligament pain... still. It feels a lot like menstrual cramps and gets so bad it's hard to walk most of the time and can keep me up at night. So needless to say, working out has been challenging. Ive still been trying to get through my yoga class on Mondays and I walked the mall the other day but felt like I was going to die afterwards. So working out just doesn't really feel worth the pain right now which kills me but that's just the way it is.

As you can see he's getting pretty big these days. I'm so short he fills up my entire torso and my bump just keeps growing straight out! I feel like it's enormous but the doctor says he's still measuring pretty average. I think I've gained about 20 lbs at this point so I feel like I'm doing great even with the minimal exercise! I've always been careful about what I eat but it's been hard with the sugar cravings, and the holidays!

His room is almost done. Can't wait to show you pictures! Just need to get the curtains and hang some picture and shelves. Still need a few things from the registry but hopefully Christmas will take of most of that! We toured the hospital, we have a baby basics class tomorrow night, and I've started packing my bags for the hospital. We are definitely in the home stretch!

    1. I know Suzanne! It is mostly finished except for no pictures on the walls yet. It has also become sort of a dumping grounds for all things baby that will eventually be moved out to the rest of the house. I need to get that stuff out so I can take pictures! So much to do! Ahhh!
