Cute Outfit of the Day: Fringe and Suede

American Eagle sweater: thrift $4
Express suede skirt: thrift $4
vintage necklace: thrift $4
purse: Bealls Outlet $17
platform heels: $4
Total Cost: $33

I just can't stay away from fringe or the 1970's trend! I've had this suede skirt for years now but it is such a classic piece! I decided to liven up these neutrals with this awesome vintage necklace. I thrifted these platform sandals about 5 years ago and they have been my summer favorite ever since!

The Harvey Story:
Many of you were shocked seeing our cat Harvey in Monday's post. He ran away from home and was gone for 4 long horrible months but we never really made a big announcement when we got him back. We were so excited to have him back but it made things quite complicated. You see, after Harvey was gone for about 3 months we got a note from a neighbor that said she thought she saw him dead on the side of the road. So we grieved some more then went and adopted 2 new kittens. Just when life was getting great again we got a message from my co-worker that said she thought she saw Harvey found on the Pet FBI website. It as him! A neighbor had let him in and had him for a week. So we are still not sure where he was the rest of the time but he wasn't skinny. He wasn't even dirty! We brought him home but wasn't sure how he'd get along with his new brothers. It took about a week but they have completely accepted each other! They wrestle and lick each other all the time. I think Harvey actually likes having brothers! We just weren't sure what was going to happen which is why we never made a big announcement but then time got away from me and I just realized on Monday that I never told you guys the whole story! I guess you could end this story with: And they all lived happily ever after! Thanks to everyone for your prayers and your concern for us!

  5. That so awesome about Harvey! Cats are the coolest. They are so tough! Also, you always find the best thrifted skirts. I LOVE this one. The suede is such a cool addition to a classic pencil skirt.

    1. Thanks Aleczandra! You are right- cats are tough! I have no idea how he survived out there for 4 months- it even snowed twice while he was gone!
