Happy Monday Everyone! Hope you had a good holiday weekend!
It was a rough week with my husband's car accident and then we found out later in the week that the truck driver who hit him is claiming it wasn't his fault! So we now have to fight to prove the truth so we aren't stuck with paying for the damages! Not fun!
So when it came to Valentine's Day neither of us felt like doing anything fancy and I have to say it ended up being one of the best Valentine's Day ever! We went to Dewey's for pizza and beer which was perfect because that is my favorite meal anyway! I hate that there is this pressure to do something great on Valentine's Day. My husband and I have been happily married for over 14 years and I think the secret to our success is that we treat everyday like Valentine's Day!
Overwhelmingly, the biggest trend of 2015 has to be the 1970's. When I first heard this I was not thrilled. When I think of the 70's what comes to mind are ugly colors and patterns, terrible fabrics, and ridiculously voluminous pants! But then I saw how the designers took the 70's and made them modern- I was hooked! I actually realized I had quite a few great 70's inspired pieces in my closet already like this vintage turtleneck and flared leg jeans! So give it try!
