Cute Outfit of the Day: How to Wear a Slip Dress

 Target slip dress: thrift $7
belt: thrift $2
clutch: thrift $3
shoes: thrift $4
ring: c/o World Market $0
headband: World Market $10
Total Cost $26

Today, I'm showing how I would style a slip dress so it doesn't look like I'm wearing my night gown in public! I think the trick is to ground it with a chunky shoe or boot. If you just wore the slip dress with some dainty heels it would still look like bedroom attire. When the weather starts to cool down try a slip dress with a sweater over the top or a jacket or cardigan. Just remember to always keep the accessories minimal!

I picked up this cute headband when I was at World Market last week using my $10 Birthday coupon. I think that's what they count on- you'll come in and spend way more than $10!

Just an update on my precious at Harvey- he is still missing. I'm trying hard not to feel discouraged but it's so hard. He has been gone for a full week today. Your prayers are greatly appreciated!

Today I'm linking up with:

I love the dress. I think you're right about adding in chunkier pieces. I think a fisherman sweater would also do the trick.
