Cute Outfit of the Day: Farm to Table Fashion

What if someone told you, you have to go from the State Fair to a nice dinner with the girls in the same day?

What would you wear?

Well, this was my challenge to myself on Monday. Yes, I give myself fashion challenges! It helps you grow as a fashionista! My hubby and I were going to The Ohio State Fair during the day then I had dinner plans at Fisherman's Wharf with some girlfriends that evening.

This is what I wore to the fair:

Then for dinner, I switched the cowboy boots for some glitzy wedges and my straw tote (not pictured) for a clutch and somehow this outfit went from farm to the table without changing my clothes!

blouse: thrift $4
jacket: thrift $4
jeans: Forever 21 $15
silver wedges: Old Navy $10
cowboy boots: Volunteers of America $6
clutch: thrift $3
earrings: Forever 21 $5
sunglasses: Forever 21 $6
Total Cost: $53

Oh, and I got my hair cut! I think this is my favorite cut yet!

Here are some of my favorite things at the fair. Watch this video and you will see why I love Smokey the Bear so much! My hear is broken though because I just found out that this is Smokey's last year at the Ohio State Fair. They are replacing him with a new Smokey but it won't be the same- I've been visiting this Smokey every year for my whole life!

  3. I love the contrast of your blouse with those earrings. I always want to wear statement earrings, but I always feel like they're too dressy for me but you show that it can be done. Great haircut and color too :-) I've never been to state fair, but I'd sure like to go.

  6. Totally agree with everyone about the colors. The top and earrings with your red hair is a perfect combination! I shamefully have never been to the state fair, but it looks like fun!

  10. Gorgeous top -- especially the color with your hair! -- and pairing the berry with those turquoise earrings is genius! Visiting from the Spotlight Weekly link-up :)
