A Fashionable Fundraiser

Happy Monday Everyone!
Today I want to share with you some pictures from an event I did last week with the Families and Friends Network of Goodwill Columbus. I had the privilege of being the Emcee for the fashion show portion of the evening! Families and Friends Network of Goodwill Columbus (FFN) is a group that works to help fund and assist the Goodwill Supported Living and Gladiator Special Olympics programs. Their purpose is to advocate for the participants who have mild disabilities and create opportunities for them that promote independence. They offer classes on cooking, money management, dancing, and music as well as providing travel and volunteer opportunities and training for Special Olympic sports.

This was the gorgeous home where the event was held. Since the weather was nice we got to have the event outside around the pool which was so nice!
This is me (the one in the dress) and Al Kerze the current president of the Families and Friends Network of Goodwill Columbus.
The coolest part of the event is that the 23 of the participants of the program help put on this fundraiser. They are the models in the fashion show, They help to prepare all the food, they greeted everyone at the door and for the first time ever the bell choir preformed for us!  These are two of the models. All of the outfits were from the Goodwill store on Sawmill Rd. and most of them were under $10 for the entire look!
This guy looked so amazing in this Emmanuel Ungaro suit from Goodwill!
This adorable lady in the pink printed top and jeans is another one of the models.
This is the whole group of models.
This is the brand new bell choir made up of FFN participants. This was their first performance and they did an amazing job!
As the bell choir did their thing, this lovely lady signed the words to the song. I just loved her outfit! The colors are just fantastic on her and she had the prettiest jade colored earrings to match!
This is Margie Pizzuti the President and CEO of Goodwill Columbus. I've had the pleasure of meeting her a couple of times throughout my blogging career and she is super nice! She works very hard and does so much good in our community to help people with disabilities. She thanked me for all the help that my blog does to help their organization which meant so much to me! I blog about thrifty fashion because I love it but the fact that it helps others just makes it a dream come true!

If you would like to donate to the Families and Friends Network of Goodwill Columbus you can do so here. They accept everything from monetary donations, clothing, computers, and vehicles to volunteering your time.
