Cute Outfit of the Day: High Low Mix

 faux fur coat: thrift $6
t-shirt: thrift: $4
leather coated jeans: Gap $16
Target booties: thrift $7
Steve Madden necklace: Nordstrom Rack $15
Total Cost: $48

Today's outfit is a combination of some of my current favorite pieces from my wardrobe. I've already featured this leopard coat, my leather coated Gap skinny jeans, and my red suede Target booties in previous posts but now they are coming together to make a new look! This look is what I like to call a high/low mix. It combines super dressy pieces like the fur coat, the glitzy necklace, and high heels with more casual pieces like jeans and a t-shirt. This is really is my favorite way to dress because with this mix you can be ready for almost any occasion!

Oh! and I got my hair cut again! I went a little bit shorter on the short side and I also got the hair on the other side of my head cut super short to match. This time a stylist named Jennifer (at the Polaris Kenneth's Columbus, Ohio) did it and she did a great job! Thanks Jen!

  3. I really dig the fun vibe of this outfit! I have those same booties--do they kill your feet? I love them but I'm thinking if donating mine. I find them really hard to wear and if I try to wear them without socks, they rub on my legs!

    1. I haven't worn them very much or for very long so I haven't had any problems but they are probably the highest heels I own so I could see how they might get uncomfortable

  4. Not going to lie, I miss your old hair! HOWEVER, you pull off this look SO well...as you did with your previous style/cut as well. Must be nice to have such versatile style :) Go girl!

  8. Love the look! I want one of those jackets. You have the BEST HAIR of anyone I know. The other day I suggested your blog to a student. Lovely girl and she wants a career in makeup/skincare. I thought you could be a great example for her.

  9. Well, your hair's incredible, but I can barely take my eyes off that freakin' coat. I swoon every time you wear it, miss.

  10. Your hair looks great! I love the red from the booties. The gray tee keeps the outfit from being over the top - love it!

  12. I absolutely ADORE this haircut on you. Can you post the back of your hair next time? I just started growing out a pixie cut and have now grown it long enough to be a cute bob but this look is making want to cut it again. :) Decisions...decisions...I love your blog! - Gabby

  13. I love this whole look! I have been on the lookout for a necklace like that. Every time I find one, it always had a stone missing!

    Thanks for linking up!
