Cute Outfit of the Day: Winterized

dress: thrift $5
sweater: thrift $4
belt: thrift $2
hat: Forever 21 $8
boots: Aldo gift $0
Total Cost: $19
I got this cute dress recently and  thought I was just going to save it till the weather got warmer. But, I saw it hanging in my closet and really wanted to wear it. So I decided to winterize it! I know you know what I'm talking about- we've all done it! Take the summer dress then add the sweater, the tights, and the boots! Perfectly winterized!

P.S. Can you tell I love this hat? I've only worn it in like 3 blog posts in the last 2 weeks!

  1. I've been winterizing my summer dresses too. So much so that I have yet to post pictures of me in my winter dresses! Love the belted sweater and pattern on your dress. The beret looks great too! I'm glad I'm not the only one stretching summer clothes into winter.

  2. Hi Lindsey. I love this Look and how you winterized it. You look adorable in a Beret. I am all about Sweater Dresses, Long Cardigans & Beret Hats this Winter, as you will tell from my last Outfits, too. =)

Have a Great rest of the week. Ada. =)

  3. Fab outfit! I love that you winterized a summer dress and thrifted most of it. I'm sad now that I gave away a black and a brown long sweaters similar to that one last year. Oh well.... it's a great look!

  4. I love the hat! It brings attention to your eyes, which are so stunning.

  5. Love how you made this dress appropriate for winter! Now I want to wear all my summer dresses like this :) Dropping by from the Random Wednesday Linkup!

  6. I love winterizing dresses and love this! I am really liking you in the hat lately!

  7. really like how you winter-ized this dress - I would have had no idea it was a "warmer weather" dress if you hadn't told us!

  8. Hi! I ran across your blog while doing a google search and since you are such a great thrifter I was wondering if you are familiar with an online "thrift" store called thredUP? Let me tell you just a little about them.

They buy consignment-quality kids' and women's clothing from people, then they hand select the best clothes and then post them onto their online store. ThredUP inspects the clothes and pays up to 40% of the resale value upfront. It's an awesome site - you can buy or conveniently sell excellent-quality women's and kids clothing. They’ve got everything from Gucci to Gap, J Crew to Justice and more and at up to 90% off retail prices! If you haven't heard of thredUP I am giving you $10 off your first purchase with this link. I challenge you to find a great article of clothing for $10 or less. The first time I ordered from them I got a great Ann Taylor dress for just $9.99 so basically it was free!

I hope you will give it a try! (P.s. I don't work for thredUP!)
If you do give it a try please let me know how you made out.

    All the best,
