Cute Outfit of the Day: Backwards Babes

 coat: Goodwill (Brand New!) $7.99
top: Goodwill (Brand New!)$4.99
belt: Goodwilll $1.99
suede skirt: Goodwill $3.99
necklace: F21 $8.80
shoes: Also (gift) $0
Total Cost: $27.76

This is what I wore on Monday. This outfit is a result of challenging myself to wear something that I haven't worn in a long time. So I ended up finding this Express suede skirt. I can't even remember the last time I wore it so you know it's been a long time!

The top, I am actually wearing backwards. The fun lace detail was on the back wear it gets hidden so I turned it around and I like it so much better!

Monday was a very exciting day! I got to meet a fellow blogger that I've been corresponding with for almost a year! She lives not that far from me so we thought it was about time we meet! Well, we just had a great time together! She is so sweet and fun and so easy to talk to! I couldn't believe how much we had in common! We are both born again Christians, we love thrift shopping, we are close in age, been married over a decade with no kids, and best of all we both have a passion for fashion!

This is my new friend Khola from Khola's Kloset:
I chose this picture because she is wearing her dress backwards! This is wear I got the inspiration for wearing my top backwards! I forgot to tell her!

It was so wonderful meeting you Khola! Hope to see you soon!

Have any of you bloggers out there met any other bloggers? How did it go?

  8. I was getting all caught up on your blog and I just had to comment on this. When I moved to Dayton I met up with this blogger who I'd been chit chatting with for a while. After one kind of awkward meet, she said she wanted to try thrifting and of course I agreed...and the whole time it was "ew this stuff is so gross, how can you wear this?" which, ok, thrifting isn't for everyone (but seriously?!). Later, I invited her and her husband to a get together my friends were having...long story, turns out she's crazy. For real.

Ah! Glad you had a better experience :)

  9. Your style is gorgeous - i'm so impressed how you put things together, it's never like boring matchy-matchy but there's always something in the outfit or make-up that get's the same color or style again as another piece... It's all about fun to read your blog, you're great! Sweet greets from Switzerland, Mel
