My Oscar Review

So, the Oscar's were last night. Did you watch? For me, the best part is always the red carpet arrivals before the show. It takes a lot to really wow me. Every one looked nice but there were a few that stood out to me.
Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton:
I loved that she stayed true to her usual feminine, vintagy aesthetic but went a little more sexy after playing Marylin Monroe. I love the coral color, I love the layers of fabric, the trendy peplum, and the fitted bodice! This is exactly what I would wear to the Oscars. I love it (can you tell?)
 Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford:
She looked amazing like she always does! I thought the cape was just genius! She looked sleek, modern, and totally unique!
 Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace:
I am not usually a Angelina fan but this dress was A-Mazing! She worked that leg! This will be the dress that everyone remembers from the 2012 Oscars for years to come!
But I have to say, my favorite look of the night was Miss Piggy in Zac Posen! She is so gorgeous! Kermit looked pretty dapper himself in his Brooks Brother's tux! They are the best!

Best moment of the night:
Octavia Spencer winning an Oscar for best performance in a supporting role for The Help. I was so happy for her. I loved how genuinely grateful she was to win this award.

Well, those were my favorites. What looks wowed you the most?

  1. I L-O-V-E Michelle Williams!!! This is the dress I would used too! Love love love...Perfect!

But Angelina... Well, the dress is AMAZING, true... But she looks SICK of so thin! It is so ugly...
If you look her leg and her arms, they both have almost the same size!

I think this dress it should be sexy, but with those legs, it is not sexy at all!

  2. * I think the corret is "this is the dress i would WEAR too"... Sorry for my english, not american.

  3. Beautiful post, I was really enjoy the ed carpet show last nite,

  4. I love Michelle's dress as well. I have been a huge fan of hers for a long time. Sometimes I don't always like the things she wears but I was so excited to see this. It was beautiful!! I was really hoping she would win. But thats ok, next time!

  5. Style-wise, Gwyneth Paltrow totally stole it for me, the dress she wore was stunning. I also think she would have looked even better with some smouldering red lips!

  6. Aside from the color of the dress, I thought Michelle looked angelic! Her hair, makeup and jewels...classic elegance! LOVED!! Gwyneth was out of this world!! So uniquely PERFECT for her! Angelina was so statuesque...almost too much so! I heard someone on the E! Red Carpet show refer to she and Brad as wax figures and I found it rather humorous...they're so seemingly flawless they almost looked unreal! I also thought Stacy Kiebler looked gorgeous! Perfection...then again George Glooney does that to a girl! ;)
