Cute Outfit of the Day: Trial and Error

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a good weekend! Boy that time change really threw me off! I woke up super early on Sunday morning! That's ok though because it gave me more time to spend with my wonderful husband! We didn't do any special, it was just great to be together!
 jacket: Volunteers of America $4.99
jeans: Banana Republic via Goodwill $5.99
belt: Pierre Cardin via Goodwill $1.99
pumps: Goodwill $3.99
Total Cost: $16.96

When I thrift shop I am always looking for unique items. So I was really excited when I found this cool jacket! The label is in Chinese so I'm guessing it is probably not from the U.S.! If it wasn't even made in this country then the chances of anyone having the same thing should be very small! Excellent!
The jacket had belt loops but no belt so I added my vintage Pierre Cardin belt. At first I was trying to pair the jacket with brown leathers but they just looked to rugged and casual. This jacket needed the refinement of black leather belt and shoes. Sometimes outfits take a little trial and error before you get them just right!

  1. Oh, love this! The asymmetrical line on the jacket is awesome. I also really like it paired with the belt and shoes. I agree, trial and error is sometimes the best way! In fact, I did that this morning!

  2. Super find Lindsey. I especially love that jacket! I am a lover of vintage, but just don't feel that I can wear a full outfit of vintage. So I love to have just one piece paired with up to date stuff. I recently found the coolest Halston tunic (photo on my blog) and can't wait to wear it layered with a jacket!
No surprise that you are an esthetician, you have radiant skin! I worked dermatology for 6 years mostly on the esthetic side (aka elective procedures)and always appreciate good skin and those who stay out of the tanning beds, ha!

  3. Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog, came to see yours and I love your style! This jacket is fabulous - these sorts of finds are always so expensive in the UK (you'd never get it so cheap in a thrift store or on ebay. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places?!)

Btw I'm having a Sandy Mitchell bracelet giveaway I think would look fabulous on you! BRACELET GIVEAWAY
