Cute Outfit of the Day: Lux for Less

Hello Everyone! Happy Monday!
How was your weekend? It was just a gorgeous here in Ohio! We are having a glorious Indian Summer! On Saturday night we went to a going away party for our amazingly talented friend Jesse Cale. He is moving to California because this company wants to record his music. I don't have any doubts that he will be wildly famous very soon!
Here is what I wore to the party:
vintage cotton stretch t-shirt dress: Volunteers of America $1
Chanel scarf: Goodwill Polaris $2
vintage lion's head belt: Goodwill $2
Aldo boots: gift
Total Cost: $5

I think this is the cheepest outfit I've ever posted on my blog, but it is actually probably worth more than almost any outfit I've ever posted too! I found this Chanel scarf at Goodwill a while back. I've done quite a bit of research to see if it's authentic and so far it's passed all of the tests! It is the silkiest fabric I have ever felt in my life! It makes me feel like a million bucks when I wear it!
After adding the scarf and the gold lion's head belt the outfit was getting kind of dressy so I decided to go with my rugged brown boots to ground the look.
Have you ever found any high end labels at the thrift store?

  1. I am not going to lie. When I first discovered your blog about 6 months ago, I followed you with mild interest. As a life-long thrifter, I thought I could do what you could...BUT.... Now I AM ADDICTED. I wish you post like 2-3 times a day!!! You have great sense of style and great eyes for finding good deals. Can I come and shop in your closet??
