For Spring 2011 the hemlines are getting longer. There has been a lot of talk about the Maxi skirt but the mid-length skirt is also hot right now! These skirts are a nod to the ladylike style of the 50's. They are super easy to find at the thrift stores since they are a retro look. I found mine at Goodwill last week! I love the teeny tiny pleats in this skirt. It gives the skirt wonderful texture and movement. If you feel too covered up in a mid-length skirt try pairing your skirt with a top that shows some major skin!
white blouse: Goodwill $3.49
skirt: Goodwill $3.49
belt: Goodwill $1.99
hat: Goodwill $2.99
shoes: Target via Goodwill $3.99
Total Cost: $15.95
Have you tried a longer hemline yet?

ReplyDeleteoh i love this get up!
ReplyDeletei've tried longer hemlines, but because i'm petite (read: vertically challenged) they don't work for me. short dresses and skirts are more my style. :)
