It was a trend that started last fall so they are easy to find on sale at a lot of places. I am hoping to come across a pair of high waisted leather shorts at a thrift store though.

The length and the color of the shorts are not important. What matters is what you wear with them. For colder weather tights and a chunky knit sweater or a blazer looks cool. For Spring/ Summer keep it light and airy on top with a silky blouse bare legs and booties.
